You know you

have finally become a Southern Californian when you are on the freeway and pissed because the car in front of you is going too G-d damned slow and you want to ram into their car in rage and you glance at your odometer and find that you are going 80 and think the speed limit of 65 is a joke.

I have lived here about 7 years, and I can now claim residency.

We had a foot of snow here yesterday afternoon.

It took me two hours to go thirty miles.

It took my friend 4 hours to go 23 miles.

You were going 80 and thought you were going slow?

Try going 2.

Shell - lol, you must be 405 fluent.

moooooog35 - I have a snow phobia. It was about 60ish yesterday, sunny and breezy. I can't even wrap my mind around driving in snow.

Yes - but the times of being able to be above the 65 speed limit are becoming more rare... there used to be 'windows' of time that you could get to Los Angeles without traffic. Not so much anymore... and a series of freeways here now start to clog up at 1pm (down to 5-10mph) and don't let up until about 7:30p. This evening - try a google maps of 'south coast plaza' - then add the 'Traffic' to the surrounding areas. Expand that to encompass the (405) to the (5) on the south, and the (91) on the north. Yeah... it's REAL fun living here. *weeeee...*

Oh to be able to drive 80! You try telling that to kids now days - they just don't believe you!

anon - lol - granted this was about 11 am and the 22 to the 57. You can seriously fly on the 22 off hours and weekends.
