Damn! Damn! Damn!

I am a huge baby when it comes to needles. Which means, I have my wisdom teeth. Yes, I'm over 20 (lol) and have all of my teeth. No cavities (again because of my fear of needles I am very careful to floss and brush 2-3 times a day).

Now, just before vacation, one decides it's hates me. I want to bash it with a rock like Tom Hanks did in Castaway.

I promised my dentist a year ago I'd get it taken care of. Somewhere in this house I have my x-rays and a referral. But I just want to go on my trip and not have it throb for ten days.

Son of bitch. This REALLY sucks. Seven hours of driving two kids with a throbbing jaw. Surely, there must be an extract-it-yourself kit!

I had a terrible expereince with a wisdom tooth. Like you I am terrified of needles (I once made a run for it while I was having holiday jabs, the doctor chased me down the road)

I kept putting off going to the dentist hoping that the pain would just go away but it got so bad I almost fainted a few times. Finally I was forced to go to the dentist.

I think the best thing to do is wait until you faint from pain so they can pull out the tooth... The needle is really big and it hurts like hell. I'd never go through that again!

Fainting from the pain? I better make sure my teen can take the wheel...maybe I'll have him ditch school so I can teach him 18 months early how to drive. :P Oh, and the giant painful needle comment? Not helpful! :P

..but they give you Percocets...which makes it all worth it.

In fact, every so often, I put my wisdom teeth back in and go to a different dentist....just to get the Percocet.

I need help.
