My Eyes!!!!!!!!!

I don't knock on the bedroom door to the boy's room. My house, my room, he is just borrowing it until college.

Last night he got back from seeing Cloverfield. He was being a little - well a LOT of almost 15. So I went to his room and opened the door to continue to nag him (I as a mom am not above nagging) and he responded, "Mom! I was about to change, can't you knock first?!".

I responded "You're in your boxers and I wasn't finished talking to you!". (Yes, I call nagging "talking".)

So he got smirky said "Okay, fine" and pulled down his boxers.

GOD, I HATE 14!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, now he's grounded and has no phone. It's going to be a LONG weekend.

In the future though...

I'm going to knock.

I did find it a little funny. ;o)

Then again, I don't have a 14 year old.

Oh, he thinks he was hysterical.

I'm really quite prude so I'm STILL in shock.

When they start to smirk, run!

I would've calmly and coolly said, hold that, uh, thought, gotten my camera and taken a picture. It would go in his wedding album.

CC - You are so right. However, before this day, he's never, ever done anything aside from argue.

SC - I wish I had your coolness. I was really thrown and just froze. He's apologized to me several times, he said he had no idea just HOW disturbed I would feel.

I really thought this was going a different way.

Pubescent boy. Door closed.

Mom, trust me...you don't want to see what he's doing in there most of the time.

Knock.

You'll thank yourself later.

Moooooo35 -
It is really hard for me to accept that he isn't a little boy anymore. But yeah, lesson learned.

what the hell are you thinking? do have any idea how much a 14 year old whacks it? You want to see that keep walking in on him.

TV-Okay, to be fair I was talking to him, he walked away into his room, shut the door, I stood outside the door for seconds, and then opened it. Seriously - not more than 10 seconds.

And I'm going to pretend he would never do what you are suggestiong.

And I will always, ALWAYS knock before entering in the future.

Haha! My boy would NEVER.

The girl...well, she's only three...but I'm worried about the track in life she may choose. Right now it looks like she's warming up to be a smart mouth stripper!

As for my boy...he's taken to keeping his door shut. I make sure I make a LOT of noise before I even knock. I don't want to know.

I thought he would never as well... but you are smarter than me by knocking first in the first place!
